 Integrated Course:Makuhari-Sogo isdesigned to be a “special academic-track school”.  

Ø  1styear students will take “Industrial Society and Human Being” to strengthenawareness of their own career paths. This includes their future choice ofoccupation followed by the Integrated Research inthe 2nd year. 

Ø Curriculum

  1st year: All the studentsfocus on common subjects.

  2ndand 3rd year: Students select a course from 4 courses of study belowaccording to their own interests and concerns.
 4 Courses of study
HUMANITIES: Acourse for students who are going to major in Literature, Language, Law, Sociology, etc. at university. Students willtake the following classes: Japanese, Geographical  History, Civics, and English, in order tolearn about people, culture, and the structure of society.
HUMANITIESAND SCIENCES: A course for students who are going to major inLiberal Arts courses such as Life Sciences, Nursing /Medical sciences, and Sports etc. at university. Students will learn Liberal Artssubjects with midrange mathematics and flexible science courses.
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY: A course forstudents who are going to study at science- related universities such asMedicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Science, and Engineering.Students will focus on Science, Mathematicsand English in order to learn scientific ways of thinking.

ARTS: Acourse for students who are going to major in Arts at university. Students will learn Liberal Arts subjects and art-relatedspecialized subjects such as Music, Fine Arts Crafts, and Calligraphy.   

 Nursing Course

Ø  Integratededucation for FIVE years
*3years Nursing Course (Basic)-General course of high school: Study of basic nursing subjects

 *2 years Nursing Course (Advanced)- Studyof general education and specialized nursing subjects
Students aim topass the National Nursing Examination. Also, we have a "Sister System"in which the third-year students support the first-year students in theirlearning methods and nursing skills.
Ø  Thisis the only training course in Chiba prefecture.

Ø  Whatis education of nursing?
 The program cultivates abroad range of knowledge, nurtures a rich humanity, and fosters the ability toengage in the nursing profession responsibly and a foundation for pursuing andpracticing nursing in a liaison role.
Ø  Wehave Good Equipment.  
 Our “self-study room” isequipped with one bed for every two students and a variety of medical machines.We also provide a space where home nursing practice can be conducted.
 

Ø  Howmany teachers are there in the nursing course?

  There are about 60 part-time teachers.

  To teach specialized nursing courses, about60 doctors from university hospitals and university faculty members are invitedas part-time lecturers.
